LIBRARY RESOURCES

The Trepp Library at St. Monica Catholic High School is located on the first floor of the Jeanette and Warren Trepp Resource Center at the northeast end of campus. The library is open and staff is available to assist students with their research needs from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday during the regular school year. Library staff may be reached by telephone at (310) 394-3701x 434, or by email: library@stmonicahs.net

 
The Trepp Library offers students access to:
  • circulating and non-circulating materials including approximately 8,000 books and 25 periodicals - All current students of St. Monica Catholic High School have borrowing privileges for circulating materials with the use of their student I.D. card;
  • an extensive collection of college admission books, as well as SAT and ACT preparation materials. 
  • thirty Dell computers with software applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing, and a variety of educational software. The computers also provide access to the Library’s automated catalog, the internet, and several online subscription databases (as described below). The library computers are to be used only for academics; Students must have a signed Computer Network User Agreement and Parent Permission Form on file and present their current student I.D. card in order to use a computer. Both standard and color printing are available.
  • Xerox photocopying. 
 
The library subscribes to Britannica Online and eLibrary, both of which can be accessed by students using the library computers or their home computers via the remote access passwords available in the library and on the Resources page of their ABI Gradebook. These databases allow students to review and download hundreds of scholarly journals and historical newspapers, including a variety of primary source documents.
